Exceptional help for instructors of ESL writing students

I highly recommend this book to anyone who teaches writing to ESL students. I belong to a teaching circle (comprised of university instructors who teach ESL composition and instructors in a English language institute housed at our university) and we decided to read this book in a "book club" format. Each week we read a chapter and different people led the discussion. We found it to be an invaluable resource. It answered many of the questions we were already grappling with as well as prompted us to consider our teaching practices in a new light. As the grand finale to our semester, we Skyped with one of the authors, Dana Ferris, and extended our conversation further. It is money well-spent and should be on the shelf of every ESL instructor.
